I recently had the privilege of photographing the J. Simons’ shop at, 2 Russell Street, Covent Garden. The destination for anyone with in an interest in Americana or Ivy League clothing. The purveyor of traditional American menswear closed in February 2010 after 29 years of business.

Here’s the flyer I’ve been working on for Just Do It a documentary film directed by Emily James.
PSA
So I haven’t posted anything in a while, I have a bit of back log of bits and pieces - hopefully I’ll around to sorting that out soon.
In other news, I’ve just started working on a couple of really exciting projects:
1. Just Do It - A documentary film directed by Emily James which chronicles the activities of UK climate activists, currently in post production. I’m helping the film makers spread their message and drum up support and donations to complete the project by means of flyer.
2. I’m in the planning stages of a short documentary on the subject of Isabella Blow through the eyes of her former assistant, Kentaro Poteliakhoff.
I’m also wrestling with what the hell to call myself in terms of a title (read: I don’t know what to put on my business card). Ah, life’s little traumas.
Immersion
So I’m doing this course at CSM at the moment called Immersion, it’s a short graduate enterprise course for design professionals with the aim of equipping participants with the tools and skills they’ll need to make their way in the working world. I was going to write lots more about this, but since I’m in a hurry and someone else has already done it I’m going to be very lazy and just post a link.
See: rachellewisillustration.blogspot.com for an in depth breakdown of the course so far.
An illustrated flyer I produced for confectioners Hope & Greenwood last halloween. See the full set on Flickr.
A little post production & airbrushing, styling and photography by Kentaro Poteliakhoff. See the full set on Flickr.
